AdoptionPAL
AdoptionPAL’s sole purpose is to take care of animals, children and elderly people.
Conrad S.
The following case has to do with Conrad, a 73 year old man on a fixed income with a 2 year old 150 lb black Labrador Retriever living in a run down hotel in San Diego. Keith Hatchett was doing business on the West Coast and flew to Las Vegas and then drove to Salt Lake City to shoot videos for his new insurance company. When he returned to Las Vegas, he rented a big SUV, drove down to San Diego and rescued this gentleman and his dog. Keith loaded them both up into his SUV and drove them to Florida and let them live with him in his house in Palm Beach for almost a year.
Keith was able to secure housing in Connecticut for the elderly gentleman, assisting a wealthy family that needed someone to watch their vacation mansion. Conrad went from near homeless to be the full time caretaker in the residence of a 10,000SF home. His dog appropriately named Truck, became very attached to Keith on the trip from California to Florida. The dog literally would not sit in the back seat and wanted to sit on Keith’s lap while he was driving the car. Every time we would stop to get gas, the dog thought we were leaving him and jumped out of the car. Conrad would literally be drug behind his dog, because Truck did not want to get more than 3 feet away from Keith. Everyone witnessing this in the parking lot were stunned, as it appeared like an elderly man was water skiing in the parking lot.
Upon arriving in Florida, Conrad was provided with tennis shoes, toiletry items and anything that he needed to supplement his fixed income social security check.
A family was located in Florida to welcome Truck, the dog, to live on a farm with two other golden retrievers under the care of a wealthy family. This story has a very happy ending and Keith said to Conrad “Conrad, you should take Truck for a walk on the beach and put a T-shirt on the dog that says MY OWNER IS A RESCUE DOG”.
Buck E.
There is a nursing home in Tennessee and when Keith is in town he regularly visits the elderly in this assisted living nursing home. Keith met a gentleman wearing a Tennessee hat, named Buck and has befriended this man for 2 years. Every time Keith goes to see him, usually Sunday afternoon after church, he is wearing a very nice suit. The gentleman approached Keith with incredible trust and asked him to please be his lawyer. Keith said “why do you want me to be your lawyer? The gentleman replied, “My wife left me 40 years ago and I want you to sue her”.
Keith always laughs and says that the statute of limitations has passed and why not just visit each other and Buck agreed. For some reason, Buck really has an attraction to hanging out with Keith and it makes his day. We at the Elease Project are so blessed to befriend him and to give him a better life.
Brent H.
There are many children who have lost their parents due to car accidents and events of a similar nature. A family with a 33 year old father by the name of Brent lost him after a year of a car accident that damaged his organs. His two daughters London and Alley were the next of kin and were unable to pay for his funeral. Keith found out about their situation the day of the funeral and through the Elease Project, he was able to write a check to cover the $ 2500 expense for the funeral. The children had a Go Fund Me page and raised about $1200, which helped them financially, while they were going to school. To this day Keith has stepped up like a father figure to the girls and recently paid about $ 700 to fix Alley’s car.
AdoptionPAL helps animals, children and the elderly and has a good start with these 3 examples.
AthletePAL
Carlos W.
Carlos was a young athlete, 6’ 3″ and 300 lbs. with tremendous high school football potential. Keith met him inside a grocery store in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. Keith befriended him and discovered that he had a learning disability and challenges with his grades, which held him back from attending college.
Keith wanted Carlos to experience what it would be like to be recruited by a top-level football college program. Keith wrote letters to the University of Tennessee football coaches and was able to get Carlos an official visit as a recruit to the University. Keith helped Carlos draft a letter along with some videos so that the coaches would look seriously at him for recruitment.
Keith drove him to Knoxville and took him to the 10-story library located on the campus. Carlos was amazed because he has never seen a library of such size. Carlos was then taken from the library to the special player recruit entrance of Neyland Stadium. He was greeted by the Tennessee hostesses and taken into the VIP room to have dinner in the same room as the players and families of other prospective recruits. Carlos received a tour of the locker room and other facilities and was allowed on the field as a recruit in front of 103,000 people at Neyland Stadium. Carlos was in awe of the size and atmosphere of the stadium and was allowed in the locker room at half time and given a special seat on the field to watch the game.
Some of the coaches spoke with him about his football ability and how they were interested in him coming to the University of Tennessee. They were very concerned about Carlos’ grades, as he needed to get his GPA up in order to qualify. There was no doubt that the University was interested in his athletic abilities. When Keith and Carlos returned to Florida, they had an important talk about working on his grades. Carlos was unable to qualify for the University, however, Keith continued to work with him to get his grades up. One year later he was awarded a scholarship to play at a small college in Minnesota.
It was the constant support of Keith and the Elease Project that helped Carlos achieve his college goals to be a student-athlete and receive a football scholarship. Carlos has grown to be a fine young man and a college graduate.
Erik F.
Erik was born in a refugee camp in Uganda and lived in a cardboard box for the first 15 years of his life. He was finally rescued by an international charity and transported to Belgium, then New York City and ended up in Nashville Tennessee. The international charity placed him and his family members in housing and helped them obtain jobs and their permanent resident cards.
Keith Hatchett held a speech at Erik’s High School when Erik reached out to him with many needs. Erik did not have a car to get to college and had to walk miles to school.
The Elease Project sponsored the number 15 car in a Coke Zero 400 Nascar Race at Daytona International Speedway in July 2019. The Elease Project purchased an airline ticket for Erik to travel to Daytona as a special guest and was able to get Erik in the pit box along with the race car team crew chief, crew and the representative of the Elease Project. Erik’s first Nascar Race was not viewed from the grandstand but from pit row where all the race car drivers and crew chiefs are located.
After the race, Erik was taken to the Beach because he had never seen the ocean. The next day the Elease Project team presented Erik with a Honda CRV automobile to drive to college, which was purchased at a very reasonable price with additional $ 1500 spent on new parts to get the car ready for driving. Keith Hatchett drove Erik and his car to Tennessee and taught him how to get tags, title, and registration for the new car. Erik and his entire family were overcome with joy upon arrival in Nashville when they saw that Erik had an automobile with tags and title to get to college with.
DentalPAL
Dental Pal
Keith was able to insure over 500 people with a dental plan that costs only $ 10 month, covers all pre-existing conditions, with a zero deductible and no dollar maximum.
Velma D.
One of his clients, Velma from Orlando, Florida accidentally went to a dentist out of network, leaving her owing over $ 1,000 out of pocket due to this mistake. The Elease Project was able to cover her out-of-pocket expenses that she could not pay.
Shazeeda S.
Shazeeda went to the dentist and was wrongfully charged full price for 3 crowns totalling almost $ 3,000K. Mr. Hatchett went to the dentist office and presented the legal contract of the dental insurance and successfully had the the dentist agree to refund all fees, except $ 900, thus saving her $ 2100 of her out-of-pocket expenses that were wrongfully billed to her.
Ben G.
Ben needed 5 crowns and 3 root canals for a total of $ 8,000. The Elease Project under Keith Hatchett’s direction was able to assist him in getting an insurance program that covers all pre-existing conditions that lowered his out-of-pocket expenses by thousands of dollars.
ForeclosurePAL
ForeclosurePAL is a uniquely successful program and an integral part of the Elease Project. There are 3 stories where the Elease Project was able to save families from losing their homes.
Mary
Mary and her family live in Texas. She was employed many years by a company in Tampa, Florida until the company was wiped out financially due to 2 hurricanes. Keith found out about this situation and through the Elease Project was able to help the family with $9,000 to save their home. He made several trips to Oklahoma City to get her bank to reverse the fees and late charges. He is currently working to get her credit restored under a hurricane forbearance agreement.
John W.
John and his family in Nashville Tennessee had a home that was a year behind on the mortgage payments and it was going into foreclosure with Regents Bank. The total amount of money needed to save the family’s home was $ 29,000. The husband had lost his job and his insurance license, therefore losing his $ 400,000 annual income insurance career. The Elease Project was able to wire the funds with the help from 3 different people that assembled the
$ 29,000 necessary to save their house an hour before it was going to be taken from them.
In addition, Keith helped the family get on a budget to relieve their debt. He also worked with several churches that were able to contribute money so the wife was able to pay their bills on time, without the help of the husband who was sent off to prison for 52 months. The wife has now paid all of the house payments on time, working as a school teacher and a nanny. The good news is that they did not lose their home and repaired their credit and paid back $ 30,000 in loans that had created a credit nightmare. If not for the Elease Project, the family would have been on the street instead of keeping the family living in a 4,000SF home, which they have inhabited for over 23 years.
Sonja R.
Sonja, a very nice woman from Virginia, whose company she works with was buried in debt due to a client in the State of Florida breaking a contract and not paying them, came within days of the foreclosure process of her home. Keith Hatchett through the Elease Project was able to wire the money to her mortgage company, paying all past due payments and fees, therefore saving her home.
ImmigrationPAL
Leslie H.
On April 2, 2008 at 5am, ICE came into Leslie’s home in West Palm Beach, Florida without a warrant and took her away at gunpoint. She is the wife of a United States Citizen. The Elease Project was originally created due to this immigration case and the original design was created in a way that people could help Leslie and get a tax deduction for their financial support. The charity guarantees that the funds are moved to ImmigrationPAL to pay her attorneys directly, so that she would have access to the top lawyers in the US to win her case.
In addition to legal assistance, the Elease Project has provided funds to care for her for many years since she’s been deported back to her country of Peru in 2008. The Elease Project is currently working with the State Department to free Leslie and return her to her family in the US. The US Government was trying to charge her with falsely claiming to be a US citizen. The Elease Project has completed the legal work and has proven that she never falsely claimed to be a US citizen, which would eliminate a permanent bar preventing her from ever returning back to the US.
MedicalPAL
Kathryn S.
Kathryn carried a lot of debt as a single Mom working 60 hours a week. The Elease Project along with Mr. Hatchett assisted her by paying off the entire bill for medically necessary breast implants. Her bills were over $400 a month plus interests and she could barely afford to feed her children if she paid those bills. The total payoff was over $ 4300 in addition to $ 400 a month for food, gas and school supplies for the children.
Eryn H.
Eryn, 25 years old, got involved with very bad people as a teenager. She was shot in the back and the bullet went through her back and came up her stomach leaving a 12-inch hole through her abdomen past her navel. This bullet kept on traveling through her body and was lodged in her left breast. The bullet has been in her body for nearly 7 years and needed to be removed and her breast needed to be reconstructed. Mr. Hatchett along with the Elease Project was able to find a top plastic surgeon to reconstruct her breast, repair her wounds and remove the bullet from her chest.
The surgery was very successful and Mr. Hatchett along with the Elease Project has been instrumental in helping her physically, mentally, emotionally and most importantly medically. The cost of this surgery was approximately $ 10,000.
MissionPAL
San Diego, California homeless population
In April of 2009, Mr. Hatchett rented a large moving truck and stopped in 21 places in the State of Florida. He filled this truck up with furniture, food, clothing and drove to San Diego, California. He single-handedly reduced the homeless population of 3000 people to around 1500 people by creating an intake form to help these individuals and families get access to medicine, veteran benefits, mattresses, underwear, socks, jackets, shirts, shoes, etc.
In addition, 3 families were placed into apartments that were fully furnished with items from the moving truck. People’s lives were transformed in a matter of 3 days. The total cost of this project was over $ 15,000 not including everything that was donated from 21 locations in Florida.
Sam L.
Sam is a homeless person in West Palm Beach, Florida with a unique skill for auto detailing. He traveled everywhere by bicycle. He came into Mr. Hatchett’s office in West Palm Beach begging for money, food, and work. Over the next 3 years, Mr. Hatchett along with the Elease Project helped Sam with over $ 5,000. Mr. Hatchett was able to get him clothing, a place to live, a storage unit and thousands of dollars of auto detailing business. Sam is now successful and on his own for the last 5 years, due to the help and education provided by Keith Hatchet and the Elease Project.
Gladys C.
Gladys, an African American woman, weighed 400 lbs and was taking 11 medications. She was living on a fixed income. She met Mr. Hatchett at church and begged him for money and work. Over the next 4 years, Mr. Hatchett worked with Gladys to help reduce her weight to 195 lbs., get off 9 of the 11 medications and furnished her home where she had lived many years without a chest of drawers or any place to put her clothing. The bed that she was sleeping on had steel points coming up through the mattress and she had no TV.
Mr. Hatchett assembled a team of people from church to stop by and check on her each week and to make sure she had enough food, as she ran out of money around the 20th of each month.
When Gladys’ mother passed away, she only wanted Mr. Hatchett to sit next to her at the funeral, out of her 300 family members who attended.
Gladys was the first person to ever receive a check from the Elease Project and we are so proud of her. Gladys now resides in Jacksonville, Florida with her daughter and has made a complete turnaround, mentally, physically and financially due to the help of Keith Hatchet and the Elease Project, based on a foundation of teachings by Jim and Elease Hatchett, which is what the Elease Project’s sole purpose is all about.
MissionaryPAL
John G.
John is a preacher who recently graduated from seminary school. He has a wife and child and they lost their home and had to be placed into one bedroom of a family in West Palm Beach Florida. They had no money and Mr. Hatchett met with them and supplied them with $ 1,000 to cover their basic needs until he could secure a job as a preacher. The Elease Project is designed to support preachers and missionaries all over the world. We are privileged to have John and his family as our first donation recipient from MissionaryPal.
East Tennessee School of Preaching and Missions
Mr. Hatchett and the Elease Project are currently establishing a plan to support preachers from this school located outside of Knoxville, Tennessee. This program provides transitional funds to help with living expenses while they are in school until they are placed in a job as a preacher or missionary somewhere in the world.
Mr. Hatchett is currently negotiating a contract to support over 40 preachers in the country of Nepal. A very wealthy insurance agency owner in Atlanta, Georgia recently passed away and prior to his passing, he sent a check to over 40 preachers in Nepal each month. The Elease Project is working with this gentleman’s son to continue this work.
PovertyPAL
Erik F.
Erik was a refugee born in a cardboard box in Uganda. He used to sneak away from the refugee camp at night and secretly learned how to play the piano and guitar. Erik is a prodigy and in Mr. Hatchett’s opinion has the potential to be the next B.B. King. Erik was in need of an electric piano and Mr. Hatchett through the Elease Project was able to special order a piano from Japan. As of this writing, Erik has landed a contract to record his first song and album. We are so proud of him for all that he has accomplished. Without the support of the Elease Project and the work of Mr. Hatchett, this success would not have been possible.
Valerie C.
Valerie is one of the most incredible woodworkers and sawmill experts. She did not have enough money to purchase the needed equipment including a saw and tables, totaling over
$ 4500. She was forced to work in an industry that was not becoming of her and Mr. Hatchett has worked diligently to get all of her equipment paid for by PovertyPal and the Elease Project, so she can open the doors of her woodworking shop and get out of the entertainment industry. Mr. Hatchett is currently working to help her study to obtain a real estate license so she has an opportunity to custom build the furniture for the homes she sells.
Habitat for Humanity, Columbia Tennessee
Habitat for Humanity works with local churches to build homes for people that don’t have sufficient income. They require 400 hours of sweat equity during a 6-month process. At the closing ceremonies, they cut a ribbon and provide the key to the new homeowner. When the home recipient moves in, they have a nice home but no money for furniture and decorations. Mr. Hatchett along with the Elease Project has improved their lives by furnishing the homes, including the bathroom, kitchen, living room, den and bedrooms for Habitat for Humanity qualifiers right after the closing ceremonies.
Sixteen additional families have been helped with PovertyPal and the details can be provided upon request. There are a total of 40 families and individuals that Mr. Hatchett self-funded through the ten entities that make up the Elease Project.
PrisonPAL
Lake County Prison Ministry/Scott and Velma Dawson
For 27 years the Dawson family goes into the Lake County jail in Florida on Wednesday night and Sunday night to teach morals and the bible to inmates in the jail. Over 1000 people have been baptized and thousands more have changed their lives forever due to this work. The Elease Project supports this ministry and will also provide an Intake Center that solves a huge problem. Upon the release of the inmates at midnight, many have nowhere to go and end up living in the woods close by. This Intake Center provides medical help, dental care, an 800 telephone number to call and leave messages for loved ones, job placement and a safe ride to a relative’s home.
The cost of an inmate in this jail is very high. This work has greatly reduced many of the financial problems associated with housing the inmates. This particular program has a very high success rate of inmates not returning to prison after they get released, as we teach them morals, ethics and to fear God when they make decisions for their future lives. This program can be duplicated in every city and every jail in the country. The Elease Project will be seeking grants from the Department of Justice in order to provide funding on a large scale for the program.
Amy W.
Amy lives in Lake County, Florida and has a history of prostitution, drugs, and mental disorders. She is one of the individuals that was ministered to by Scott and Velma Dawson through the Lake County ministry prison program. Mr. Hatchett had a conversation with her and discovered that she is an amazing painter with incredible skills. He has mentored her to get free from drugs and to establish her own business so that she can take care of herself financially. Mr. Hatchett needed his personal home repainted and hired her as her first job to get her started financially after she was released from jail. She did a beautiful job of painting his home on the exterior and interior. He is currently trying to work with her to set up her business properly and refer customers to her new business so that she can live a great life with morals and high integrity.
In conclusion, the Elease Project has a unique design approved by the State and the Federal Government that allows wealthy people to donate money and fund 10 separate entities of the Elease Project internally.
Wealthy people who want to donate to charities receive an overwhelming amount of telemarketing calls and it presents problems for them, so they often have to say No. The solution of the Elease Project allows them to fund 10 entities with one charity. They should call them! The second part of this structure, and the most important part in our opinion, is Elease Project’s unique design that allows an individual to get a tax deduction by donating to the Elease Project and specifically designating a person they know in order to help solve their specific problem. The donation gets placed into the specified entity of the Elease Project and assigned to the specified person to help resolve their problem in a matter of days.
With most other charities, the donor has no control of where they want the funds directed to and where the money actually goes. It is our understanding that the Elease Project is the first charity to ever be approved with this unique and specific structure.
